Ghetto Glitch – Dope Sagittarius

Ghetto Glitch is the new CD by Dope Sagittarius (aka, Luqman Brown, long-time front man for Funkface) and man, I love it.  It’s a barrage of electro-funk, club, rap, reggae, pop and the rock is there of course.  If you want to get a real glimpse of what it’s about, check out the Sin City style video for ‘Punkrapstarz’:

The centerpiece of the CD is ‘Break It Down’, which is poised to be the hottest song to come out just as the weather starts to heat up.  It’s a brilliant update of the great Brit-pop/rock of the 80s (General Public comes to mind) and sports a chorus that will stay in your head like a tic.  It’s pop music at its finest.  Other great tracks include the electro-reggae jam ‘Free Again’, and the not-sorry-at all ‘Dirty New York’ with a ultra catchy refrain of ‘How you know them ho’s’.  It’s destined to be a (strip) club classic!
